An endowment fund receipt from the University of Denver and Colorado Seminary for $25 to Mr. and Mrs. R.J. McNally. It is number 162 (in red) and signed by Chancellor Henry Augustus Buchtel. The receipt says it is for a "Donation on Endowment Account and to enable The University to respond to the requests of the Government." A handwritten note at the bottom reads "I enjoyed you all so much that I want to speak in Meeteetse again." The paper has a couple small nicks. It is written in black ink but also had a typed memo and green letterhead matching the border. The handwriting and some of the green print can be seen through the bottom. |
